Thompson's Rental Shop has been a Bozeman business and Gallatin Valley landmark since 1976. The business was sold to Brian and Kristin Spencer in February, 2005. Together the Spencers have added a tremendous new inventory to meet the needs of their customers. They have also worked to ensure that a knowledgeable staff is available to offer helpful advice and quick tips.

The staff at Thompson's Rental Shop is dedicated to providing a quality, friendly customer service experience. We're here to help you find solutions to your project, whatever that project might be, and to try to help you avoid stress and frustration by offering constructive, useful advice that will make your job easier.
Brian Spencer grew up in the rental industry. His family has been in the rental business since the 1960's, so it's obviously a very familiar business to him. Brian can be found working at the counter, making deliveries for customers or hiding in the back office trying to get the boring stuff done. (That's what happens when you've got a business degree and a CPA license.) He also has a terrific knack for putting together a well thought out and well laid out convention or trade show.
Brian and the Thompson's Rental Shop staff take it upon themselves to provide each of their customers with advice and tips that help make their home improvement or landscaping project faster and easier. They ask their customers pertinent questions that will provide them with a good understanding of what it is their customer wants to accomplish. With that information they are then able to suggest the right piece of equipment that will best benefit the customer.
Kristin's been hard at work creating a showroom that reflects her professionalism and growing party inventory. She enjoys sitting down with her customers to help them come up with ideas to create just the right atmosphere for their parties. With four children, she's always found herself in the hub of any and every fundraiser, event, or end of the season party. If she weren't already working in the party industry she'd still be volunteering in it.
Kristin is a Professional Bridal ConsultantTM and Certified Event Rental ProfessionalTM. She takes great pride in her work and refuses to miss out on any of the details. Her event coordination work includes weddings, parties, fundraisers, corporate events and more.
The staff in the Party Room at Thompson's Rental Shop works with each customer to provide as little or as much help as is needed to create that unique and memorable event. Although some customers only request rental items to be delivered to their event’s venue, others request full-scale event coordination which ranges from choosing a venue and coordinating the caterer and florist to helping with wedding etiquette and the smooth coordination of the wedding reception. Those of you who have already stopped by the party room have had the pleasure to meet and work with Kristin, Heather and Katie: the professional party people who promise to be there for their customers to ensure that each event is just what the customer envisioned.
